Volleyball SENIOR NIGHT is this Thursday, Oct. 10! Let’s fill the AARC to support all three teams of Lady Lions Volleyball while also seeing a special time to honor our senior players of the Class of 2025.

Rolling start times are approximate: Junior High @5PM, JV 6PM, Varsity @7PM. Senior Night will take place between the JV and Varsity games, so be sure you’re in the stands by 6:45 to not miss it!

💚New Teacher Introductions!💚
This year we welcomed Mr. Paul Hines, not only as our new high school principal, but also as our 9th grade Bible teacher.

Mr. Hines comes to us from Sanger ISD and has worked in education for over 15 years also in Carrollton-Farmers Branch and Denton ISD. He has served as a children’s and youth pastor and brings that experience into his classrooms. It’s already clear to see that Paul leads with a servant’s heart; he’s always ready to step in and do what needs to be done both behind the scenes and upfront as an administrator.

As a teacher, Mr. Hines said, “I pray for each student and ask the Holy Spirit to work in their hearts.” What gets him excited about the University Model structure is the opportunity to partner with both parents and teachers to impact students.

Join us in congratulating DCA senior, Alicia, for her recent recognition in the National Merit Scholar Program. Alicia was awarded a letter of commendation for placing within the top 1% of students in the nation who took the PSAT in 2023. As we get excited about our Homecoming football game, we want to share how proud we are of our football players. They spent time this week serving with Kiowa Volunteers and “Feed My Starving Children.” They used their muscle power to pack over 48,000 meals! It was also reported that they worked diligently with positive attitudes and joyful spirits. Their efforts will provide 131 children with meals for a year! After their work, players took turns praying over the recipients.
Lion Football, we praise God for how you demonstrate Christ-like service to our community and world. We root for you on and off the field! Let’s go, Lions!
