💚New Teacher Introductions!💚

Judge Tyler Atkinson presides over the Denton Municipal Court and brings a wealth of experience and wisdom into the classroom. Teaching 12th grade government, Judge Atkinson says he likes to explore the Founders’ own words with his students.

Judge Atkinson graduated from TX Wesleyan with a degree in Political Science and received his Juris Doctorate from Baylor Law School. 12th grade government is a dual-credit class through Texas Wesleyan, and Mr. Atkinson says he’s proud to serve as a professor with his alma mater.

When asked what he is looking forward to about teaching at DCA, Judge Atkinson said, “sharing my career path and current job duties with my students, and providing insights into how I balance citizens’ rights with the need to dispense justice and ensure community safety.” He also said that he’s happy to now be the 5th Atkinson on DCA’s campus.

Join us in welcoming Judge Atkinson! If you see him on campus, please give him a warm greeting and ask him any questions you have about The Constitution. 😊
