Among hundreds of nominees across the country, DCA’s Cheryl Crouch receives a 2023 Teacher of the Year Award in Christian Education!

DCA 7th graders packed shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. They hand wrote notes that included scriptures learned in their Bible class. In addition, students earned money through chores to help provide shipping costs for the boxes. Please join us in praying over the recipients of these precious gifts!

DCA hosted a table at the Denton Business Community Prayer Lunch. A handful of administrators, business partners, teachers, and parents attended. It was an encouraging time to gather in prayer for our community.

💚Teacher Introductions!💚
While Ms. Trask isn’t new to our staff, you may have noticed that she is doing several new things this year! Elementary students enjoy her as their new P.E. teacher while Middle School students are blessed by her in Volleyball and the elective class React CPR.
Ms. Trask has her bachelor’s in nursing and has made her career as an Emergency Room nurse. Of teaching the React CPR class, she says, “I hope to create a culture that you are never too young to help save a life.”
Ms. Trask says she has been blessed by her previous two years working at DCA and enjoys several aspects of coaching, such as helping the little kids strengthen their motor skills and helping the older kids develop their identity in Christ while playing sports.
We are so grateful for Ms. Trask! If you see her on campus, please join us in saying thanks for the many ways she pours into our students.

DCA welcomed radio show hosts from KCBI 90.9 as they recorded our elementary students reading verses of the day! Eight students were selected among volunteers from each class, and they will be featured during KCBI’s morning radio shows during the holidays. Tune in Dec. 24-31st to hear our students share God’s word with listeners!
